Our Toponymic Tour departed Baltimore's Inner Harbor at 8 on the tall ship "Clipper City." A discussion of the geography and history of the Chesapeake Bay was provided by Dr. Kent Mountford, Estuarine Ecologist and Environmental Historian, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, retired. Refreshments and brunch was served on board. We arrived in Annapolis with free time to explore. The group traveled by bus back to Baltimore Inner Harbor, with a tour through Baltimore’s Ethnic Neighborhoods with a description by Michael Ratcliffe, U.S. Census Bureau and Colleen Joyce, U.S. Census Bureau. |
